Job Description:
Sony Research India invites applications for its 6-month remote internship program focused on Multimodal AI. This opportunity is designed for highly motivated candidates interested in AI research and development using cutting-edge technologies. Interns will work closely with research scientists and technical teams on speech, audio, text, and vision-based signal analysis.

The selected intern will engage in AI development tasks such as training models, testing algorithms, debugging, and optimizing performance. The position emphasizes hands-on experience with production-level projects aimed at real-world deployment and research excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with research teams on multimodal AI applications
• Analyze and process speech, textual, audio, and visual data
• Develop, train, test, and optimize deep learning models
• Participate in problem-solving and algorithm enhancement
• Contribute to real-time AI system development and evaluation

Essential Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python and PyTorch
• Experience with Scikit-Learn and deep learning libraries
• Proven application of ML/DL models to multimodal data
• Understanding of neural architectures, model deployment, and data handling
• Strong analytical skills and mathematical foundation in ML
• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Research publications in reputed journals/conferences
• Proficiency in C, C++ and object-oriented programming concepts
• Knowledge of OpenCV, Scikit-Image, MATLAB
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Participation in Kaggle or similar competitive platforms
