About the Role
Slice is offering a 6-month internship opportunity for the position of Quality Assurance (QA) Intern. As one of India’s leading consumer payments and credit platforms, now integrated with North East Small Finance Bank (NESFB), Slice is building a customer-first bank loved by millions. This internship is a launchpad for passionate individuals looking to build a career in software quality assurance and testing within a dynamic fintech environment.
This position is based on-site in Koramangala, Bengaluru, and offers a monthly stipend of ₹40,000. The internship may lead to a full-time contract role for outstanding performers who have already graduated.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to gather and understand business requirements
- Translate requirements into detailed and efficient test cases
- Design and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks
- Perform manual and automated testing across mobile, web, and backend systems
- Identify bugs, document them clearly, and follow up with development teams for resolution
- Participate in the entire software release cycle and real-time product rollouts
- Use AI-driven testing tools to enhance QA processes
- Contribute to QA best practices and tools, ensuring continuous improvement
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, REST-Assured
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases like MySQL or Oracle
- Basic understanding of shell scripting and version control systems such as Git
- Exposure to manual testing, mobile testing, and API testing
- Interest or foundational knowledge in AI/ML for enhancing automation
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative team player
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Built or contributed to automation frameworks in academic or personal projects
- Interest in fintech and user-centric product design
- Passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies
