About the Role:
As an Associate Engineer at Qualcomm, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud-edge software applications that power next-generation technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, hardware, and test engineers to develop innovative software solutions that meet performance and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud-edge software applications.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine technical solutions.
  • Design and implement small software features for Qualcomm products and systems.
  • Participate in coding, unit testing, minor debugging, and integration efforts to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Perform code reviews, regression tests, and assist in triaging issues to maintain high-quality software.
  • Collaborate with team members to accomplish project objectives and meet performance requirements.
  • Document technical details and processes for software development projects.

Level of Responsibility:

  • Work under supervision with tasks that require basic planning and prioritization.
  • Make decisions that impact the immediate work area and collaborate with team members to solve routine problems.
  • Communicate technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and cloud-edge computing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Python, or Java.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
