Overview
Job Description:
Kaplan is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its growing team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the software development lifecycle while actively participating in agile methodologies. This position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days remote and 2 days in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Program, test, and document software applications
- Troubleshoot and debug existing code
- Deliver high-quality software that meets business and user requirements
- Write test cases for functional, integration, performance, and usability testing
- Contribute to improving process documentation
- Engage in agile workflows and scrum ceremonies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
- Understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and multi-tier architectures
- Experience with unit testing and debugging code
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and team development tools (e.g., issue tracking, Git)
- Basic knowledge of scalable and modular software architecture principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with front-end and/or back-end technologies including:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React
- NodeJS, .Net, Java
- Salesforce (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning)
- Shell scripting, Python

Work Schedule:
- Hybrid: 3 days remote, 2 days in office
- 30-day notice period preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary with a minimum of $31,200 per year (or $15 per hour for full-time roles)
- Bonus or commission eligibility for certain roles
