About the Role
Hinge Health is looking for passionate Software Engineering Interns to join our cross-functional product teams. This is an opportunity to work directly on iOS, Android, and Web applications as part of agile teams building tools that help people live pain-free lives. You’ll get hands-on experience building real features, maintaining live site operations, and growing your technical and collaboration skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.
You will work on proof-of-concept features, extend APIs, fix bugs, reduce tech debt, support automation efforts, and contribute to production-ready applications across the user journey.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to the development of mobile and web applications using modern technologies.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Build, test, and deploy complete and meaningful features.
- Collaborate within a highly supportive team environment.
- Learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers and your assigned manager.
- Work with live production systems and help maintain smooth operations.
- Gain exposure to real-world software development processes and industry best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages such as Python and TypeScript.
- Understanding of cloud technologies and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, including working with Large Language Models (LLMs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong academic performance and coursework in data structures, algorithms, and databases.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like ReactJS, HTML, CSS.
- Experience in backend development using Node.js or Python.
- Participation in hackathons, personal or academic software projects, or research.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and debuggers.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
