Team Introduction:
The Firmware Verification and Validation team at Dexcom uses cutting-edge technologies to ensure the highest product quality through rigorous testing and automation strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform walk-about testing using mobile phones and Dexcom CGM devices with over-the-air wireless sniffers
- Execute test cases on embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices and verify GUI behavior
- Review translation documents to identify inconsistencies
- Test receiver hardware features including audio and haptics
- Debug issues and review logs or sniffer data to determine failure points
- Document testing procedures, results, and observations
- Maintain regular communication and updates within the team
- Conduct manual testing of CGM transmitters and receivers
- Operate within an FDA-regulated environment, creating necessary documentation like test logs, reports, and traceability matrices
- Proactively address risks and roadblocks in the test process
Key Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of programming languages and object-oriented programming principles
- Ability to read and understand code logic
- Familiarity with automated test development and frameworks
- Experience with embedded software or mobile application testing
- Understanding of BLE specifications
- Experience using bug tracking systems to document and report defects
