Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading / Managing all project QA/QC site activities with the objective to ensure that all project site QAQC performance results are in line with and / or in support of the overall project objectives and targets, including time schedule and budget.

  • Pro-actively supporting all project site team members in their individual tasks and efforts to implement appropriate QA/QC procedures within their areas of responsibility. 

  • Communicating and coordinating his/her activities to / with Site Manager (SM), Discipline Construction and Erection Managers as well as project QA/QC Manager (QAQCM).

  • Communicating and coordinating any techno-commercial matters to / with SM, as soon as such matters arise or become known.

  • Taking a pro-active role in management of techno-commercial claims.

  • Making himself/herself particularly knowledgeable of:
     - project-specific QA/QC requirements and standards.
     - Marubeni-internal approval processes and procedures.
    - Guiding, mentoring and developing all project site team members with the objective to enhance power project-related QA/QC management knowledge and skills.

  • Establishing a positive relationship with customer / partners / suppliers and subcontractors

Job Description

  •  Coordinates all QA/QC related activities throughout the project site execution phase.

  • Develops project-specific Site QA/QC plan in accordance with all relevant specifications, codes and regulations.

  • Facilitates and monitors effective implementation of project-specific Site QA/QC plan through meetings, reports, reviews, statistical trend analysis, surveillance and audits.

  • Develops and implements improvement measures related to QAQC when and where required.
    Ensures all project site staff are properly inducted and conversant with project specific Site QA/QC matters and requirements.

  • Supports all project site team members in effective implementation of all required site QA/QC systems and procedures to ensure that all work practices and activities are in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.

  • Monitors and ensures proper implementation of suppliers’ and subcontractors’ inspection and test plans (ITP) and field quality plans (FQP) through regular inspections and audits.

  • Leads, guides and if necessary instructs subordinated QA/QC project site staff.

  • Chairs QA/QC site meetings.

  • Identifies quality-related non-conformances and initiates and monitors appropriate corrective actions.

  • Prepares external project correspondence on QA/QC site matters.

  • Prepares QA/QC relevant sections for internal and external site progress reports.

  • Initiates and compiles project site quality documentation.

  • Performs any other tasks delegated or requested by line or project superior.
